MEETING MINUTES
May 19, 2009
Attendees: Rina Rub, Diane Hall, Denny Nackoney, Tim Anderson, Miguel Lessing, Len Poitras, Joan Gaughan, Bob White
Scouts: Aaron Sewall, Zach Clark
Zach presented key aspects of his completed bridge project at Rockridge Pond. His work will provide a drier trail near two streams.
Aaron present his Carisbrooke bog bridge project. He is planning a May 30 completion day. This 48 ft long bridge will provide a dry route over a very wet area off White Oak Rd.
The FY09 Budget was discussed. We will have approximately $1,000 in unplanned FY06 Capital carry over. The Town Accountant will decide if we will lose this money. We still have over $5,000 in FY08 capital. We will be returning some Operating funds to the Town. A copy of the updated budget is attached.
We will discuss the purchasing of hats and magnets at the next meeting.
The Girl Scouts and Friends of Centennial Reservation spread mulch on several sections in the Reservation on May 9th assisted by Peter Rovick and John Schuler.
Three trail reroute walks have been scheduled and rescheduled. The first was held on May 28th near the Duck Pond. The Guernsey walk will be Wednesday June 3rd at 7:00 pm and the Sudbury reroute is currently scheduled for Saturday June 13th at 8:00 am.
We continue to evaluate a potential trail near Peirce Hill.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, June 10th at 7:30 in the NRC Office.
