The Telecommunications Advisory Committee's charter is to proactively work with the Selectmen to assure that the Town has a strong telecommunications infrastructure with qualified operators capable of providing dependable voice, data cable TV and other services to residents, business, schools, and Town government.
The Telecommunications Advisory Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the Selectmen on all telecommunications matters effecting the Town. This includes monitoring the compliance of existing telecommunications operators with their license obligations, making recommendations regarding new applications by telecommunications companies, and for analyzing and making recommendations regarding the future telecommunications requirements of the Town.
