The Wellesley Recreation Department is always looking to offer new and innovative programs. If you have any suggestions for a program or would like to teach one, please contact us. Contact Matthew Chin for Adult Programs or Tim Kennedy for Youth and Teen programs.
Lifeguards
Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old and currently certified in American Red Cross Lifeguard Taining, CPR - FPR & First Aid. Candidates must also be able to commit to the entire summer work schedule (mid June - late August).
*Counselors for Camp Joey ( Age 5-7 ) & Camp Quest ( Age 8- 9) & Odyssey ( Age 10-12)
Camp Counselors would be responsible for, but not limited to: Assisting the Camp Directors with the daily implementation of the camp curriculum, the supervision and safety of all of the camp participants, and attending, the training session which will be held the week before camp begins. Camp begins at the end of June and ends at the end of August , Monday –Friday from 8:00 am - 4:45 pm. The summer camp counselor position is hourly and dependant on experience. There will also be one overnight that you will be required to work. The camp counselors must be 16 years old prior to the beginning of the camp.
