Where do I Vote?
How can I register to vote?
In Person: Go to the Town Clerk's Office, 525 Washington St., Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and complete an affidavit of registration which must be answered truthfully under the penalty of perjury. The questions on the affidavit will include your name, residence and date of birth, and identification number (Massachusetts Drivers License Number preferred).
By Mail: Mail-in registration forms are widely available, at public buildings and colleges. The Wellesley Free Library maintains a supply of mail-in forms.
At the Registry of Motor Vehicles: Keep your motor voter receipt until you receive confirmation from the Town Clerks Office. If you do not receive any confirmation please contact Town Clerk's Office to verify your voting status.
Deadlines for Voter Registration:
20 days prior to next election.
November 18, 2009 for December 8 Special Primary
December 30, 2009 for January 19, 2010 Special Election.
When and where may I register?
There is no waiting period to be eligible to register to vote. If you move, you may register to vote as soon as you move into your new home. Registration is at the office of the Town Clerk.
What must I do if I've changed my address since I registered?
If you have moved within Wellesley, notify the Town Clerk's Office of your new address in writing. If you have moved to a new city or town, you must register again with your new community.
What should I do if I registered to vote and I have not heard from my local election official?
If you have NOT received confirmation of your voter status from the Town Clerk's Office within 1 WEEK from the date you registered please contact Diane Innes, Wellesley Elections & Registration Administrator @ 781-431-1019 ext. 2258.
