Poll Worker Recruitment
You can help the community, take a direct role in the democratic process and earn a little money by serving as a poll worker. This position receives a stipend for each election worked. You must attend a training session prior to election day to learn of any changes that apply for that election. Election Day working hours are 6:00 am – 8:30 pm. Full and half day shifts are usually accommodated. Inspectors must be registered voters in Massachusetts. Under certain circumstances 16-17 year olds may qualify to be appointed.
The scheduled elections for 2008 are: February 5 Presidential Preference Primary, March 4 Annual Town Election, potential special town elections as needed, September 16 Primary, November 4 State Election.
