The Town Clerk conducts an Annual Census for the Town of Wellesley. The mailing goes out in early January. Residents are requested to return the form promptly. The information collected is name, date of birth, nationality, and occupation. Voters are required to return the form annually to retain their active status on the voter list.
New residents are requested to fill out a census soon after you move into Wellesley.
The information collected during the census is used by several town departments, including public safety, in carrying out their mission for Wellesley. The Town Clerk uses the information to update and verify voting lists and to produce the List of Residents.
The List of Residents (Blue Book) contains the name and address for all Wellesley residents over the age of 17 and designates those residents who are registered voters.
The List of Residents can be purchased at the Town Clerk's Office for $15.00
NO information can be released for children under the age of 17 for any purpose, except to the Wellesley Public Schools.
